The number of Americans over age 65 is projected to nearly double by 2060. An aging population means a lot of aging brains! But contrary to popular belief, while certain brain changes are inevitable with aging, significant memory loss is not one of them!! That's because the brain can produce new cells at any age. But as with muscle strength, you have to use it, or you’ll lose it.

On the topic of healthy foods, a new human clinical trial suggests that extracts of grapes and blueberries may protect against age-related memory loss. The study involved 215 men and women (aged 60-70) who received 600 mg/day of a polyphenol-rich grape and blueberry extract (PGBE) or a placebo for 6 months. An extensive array of cognitive tests were conducted. In those participants with the highest memory decline for their age (the “decliners”), those who consumed the PGBE had the greatest memory improvement. In fact, the “cognitive age” of the PGBE-supplemented decliners improved by nearly 14 years compared to ~5½ years in the placebo group.
Consider adding blueberries to your daily Olivino health regimen.
